IMPORTANT NEWS: The statistics department computer AITKEN now has a
15-user Stata license. This should make it possible for statistics
students to use Stata directly from X-terminals or comparably
equipped workstations.
- 1-Nov
There is a detailed description of WLS and Stata available in a
handout I have prepared. This describes a new Stata command that you
can use to do WLS, but you have to download it to your computer first.
- 30-Oct
Handout from Stata Reference Manual on weighted regression is available.
There is a stack of them in Eckhart 110, on the tray
underneath the mail boxes.
- 16-Oct
A table with commonly used abbreviations and notation used in class has
now been added to the website.
Use the new link in "General course information" above.
Handouts and Examples
- Computer Transcripts:
The annotated versions have been edited, revised, and enhanced. The "plain"
version is exactly what was recorded in class. The "annotated" versions
are web-viewable files with the graphics included, often with additional
explanatory comments.
