Statistics 200 Prerequisites

Statistics 200 has an empirical science and a mathematics prerequisite. The science prerequite for undergraduates is completion of one of the three common year sequence in the Social, Physical, or Biological Sciences.

Graduate students are normally assumed to have satisfied the equivalent of the science prerequisite.

Students may satisfy the mathematics prerequisite in one of two ways:

  1. A grade of A or B in a mathematics course of the level at least that of calculus or analytic geometry (e.g. Math 131 at Chicago).
  2. A grade of A or B in Math 102, 106, or 110 within the last four quarters.
