Five required courses

One elective can even be an introductory course2 (STAT 2203 or 2344)5.
STAT 222, 224, 226 can be taken in any order, but STAT 227 requires 224 prior.

Caution! Note these important exceptions:

1 Do not take both STAT 226 and 227! Students may count either STAT 226 or 227, but not both, toward the Statistics Minor.

2 An introductory course may be used as an elective if not used to fulfill a requirement for any major(s), other minors, or general education requirements and if taken prior to any course for which at least STAT 220 or STAT 234 is prerequisite.

3 AP Statistics credit for STAT 220 cannot be used to fulfill a requirement for the Statistics minor.

4 AP Statistics caution: If you complete either STAT 234 or STAT 220, you forego your AP Statistics credit for STAT 220.

5 Do not take both STAT 220 and 234! Students may count either STAT 220 or 234, but not both, toward the total credits required for graduation from the College. If you do take both, then one course won’t count for anything at all …not even a general elective.
